1. The Eighth Commandment is easily broken especially when it comes to politics. Take a moment to consider how this has played out in your life. Pray for the Lord’s help in growing in a Christ like attitude.
2. As a non-Roman in a Roman province, an individual of Jesus' time would have virtually no say in how the laws and the government operated. Yet, Jesus obeyed the laws and successfully completed his Father's work. How might this influence our perspective on our position in American society?
3. Make a list of your political leaders: federal, state, or local. Pray for these individuals, by name, often. Pray God give them wisdom and courage to perform their duties appropriately. After all God has tasked these people with governing us so that peace may reign and the Gospel prevail!
