2026-10-30 The Eternal Gospel We Carry

To proclaim to every nation and tribe and language and people.Revelation 14:6 ESV

The Gospel does not stay in one place. In John’s vision, it moves outward, carried to every nation and people. This is not accidental. It reflects God’s will that what He has done in Christ is for all people.

That same pattern continues. The Gospel that reaches us is not meant to end with us. It is given so that it may be spoken again. Not as a burden, but as something that naturally follows from what the Gospel itself does—it proclaims God’s peace.

There is some degree of hesitation we experience in this. We are aware of our limits. Words can fail us. Conversations can feel uncertain. There is always the awareness that our own sins are real. But none of these are to be the deciding factor.

The Gospel does not depend on the strength of the one who speaks it. It depends on Christ, whose holy life and death on the cross give it power. The message carries its own weight because it carries His work—His death and His resurrection for sinners.

This means the task is simpler than it often feels. It is not about producing something new that people will want to listen to. It is about speaking what has already been done. The Gospel itself accomplishes what God intends.

Through ordinary words and lives shaped by forgiveness, the eternal Gospel continues to reach others. It still brings rest through forgiveness. It still opens what sin has closed, which is heaven.

God ensures that His Gospel is proclaimed. And in His wisdom, He allows it to pass through us.

Heavenly Father, keep Your Gospel in our hearts and on our lips, that it may be carried faithfully to others. Amen.
