2026-06-03 I Believe . . . God still PRESERVES me – He Will Never Leave Me

Apostles Creed

The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145:15-16 (ESV)

I recently bought a new tool to complete a project. When the cashier rang up the item, he immediately asked me if I wanted to purchase an extended warranty. For an additional amount I could be certain that they would support and replace the tool. The manufacturer would only guarantee the tool for a short time. After that . . . I’d be out of luck.

The Creator doesn’t treat us like a tool manufacturer. He doesn’t only make us; He also supports us and all of the creation. Even the smallest and seemingly insignificant of birds is provided for and preserved by the Almighty.

I am not a self-made man. I am a blessing of God. I was created by the Almighty, and He also preserves and protects me. He richly and daily provides my needs. I sometimes lose sight of that fact because He gives me the gifts and health to work to earn the money I use to provide for myself and my family.

We shouldn’t take these things for granted. We are all dependent on God for life, breath, and all things. The greatest proof of God’s love for us is in the fact that He sent His own Son to redeem us from sin, death, and Satan. He did not spare His own Son to redeem us.

He will not tomorrow cast us away.

Consider how the birds above
Feed day by day with care-free ease
Does God not keep them in His love?
Are we not worth much more than these?
See how the lilies do not toil,
They grow with fair fragility;
If God clothes these which quickly spoil,
Will He not clothe both you and me?
