1. Consider the lives of various people in the Bible (i.e., Abraham, David, Peter). Write down instances where we see their Old Adam and work and instances where we see their New Man at work.
2. What are some areas in your life where you struggle with your Old Adam? What are some specific ways your New Man might respond to defeat those temptations?
3. The Bible teaches that the Gospel alone can motivate us to do good works. Read Paul’s brief letter to Philemon and note the ways the Gospel is used to motivate Philemon to receive Onesimus.
