1. Pray (or write out a prayer) for your pastor to have courage and faithfulness to his calling. If you are so inclined, tell your pastor that you have been praying for him and ask him more specifically how you can pray for him in the week ahead.
2. Think about the excuses you make for avoiding speaking up about Jesus or your faith. List out these excuses. Pray for the Lord to overcome them and give you encouragement with His promised presence.
3. Pray for yourself or anyone who is at a stage in life where they are thinking about their career in life. Pray for the Lord to call laborers into the harvest of preaching, teaching, and evangelist ministries.
3. Look up this hymn, “Hark the Voice of Jesus Crying.” (TLH 496 or ). Even you are not called into the ministry, there are still many ways that you can be involved in God’s mission. Note any phrases in this hymn that give examples of what you can do even if you are not a pastor or missionary.
